STEMpowering’s Roots into STEM program aims to provide free STEM kits paired with video lessons to extend our impact to elementary schools around NJ. We’re developing our kits for aftercare programs in elementary schools around the state to facilitate a love for science through interactive learning and building.
Our initial fundraiser for Roots into STEM was a great success, raising more than $1,000 towards our first round of kits being sent in the fall of 2024. We were fortunate enough to be awarded a Learning and Education Grant from the GoFundMe organization in order to further support our mission. Our STEM kits will include various electronic parts, Arduino circuitry, and various other engineering related components allowing students to explore various fields of STEM through experimentation or guided learning with our virtual videos that will accompany each kit.
We are looking forward to launching our Roots into STEM program for the 2024-25 school year. Kits are currently in development, and we are in the process of contacting and collaborating with schools interested in our initiative.
